Why Do We Celebrate Bakra Eid Or Ed-Al-Adha?
Every year we celebrate Bakra Eid but never get to the real reason behind this festival that why do we celebrate Bakra Eid or Ed-Al-Adha? so today let's find the true reason behind it.
Eid-Al-Adha, Bakra Eid. |
It was a long year ago about 4000 years ago once there was a Prophet Ibrahim who lived in a beautiful valley known as ‘Makkah’ with his family. The Prophet Ibrahim was so loyal and honest to Allah but one night the Prophet Ibrahim was dreamt of sacrifice that Allah want and it's about the thing which he loved most. And according to that dream, the Prophet Ibrahim was ready to sacrifice, he almost sacrifices her loved 100-200 camels but still, the dreams of Allah come again and again and command him to sacrifice. After that Prophet Ibrahim thinks about who he loved most and then there is a name that comes to her mind and that is her son, Ismail.
The next day he wakes up and told Ismail about her dream and said it is by order my Lord my Allah that he wants you to sacrifice. Ismail was a very brave boy and he was just ready to obey sacrifice for Allah. Ismail said it is a very holy thing that I will get sacrifice for Allah and told: “ Do as you are commanded, father ”. Prophet Ibrahim took his son away from ‘Makkah’ for the sacrifice of his life in the place called ‘Mina’. In the mid-walk, Satan comes and trying to stop Ibrahim but Ibrahim threw stones toward him, and also son and wife do the same to Satan and then Ibrahim continues to walk.

The Prophet Ibrahim gently placed Ismail on the ground and tied their eyes by handkerchief to avoiding seeing her beloved son sacrifice her life. But as Ibrahim picked up his knife and just go through Ismail to cut at the same time Allah sent the angel Jibril (Gabriel) down with a ram and said “sacrifice the ram, not Ismail”.
Allah was so pleased with the Prophet Ibrahim for readiness to sacrifice his beloved son that he commanded his believers to observe this day as Eid-Al-Adha or Bakra Eid or The Feast Of Sacrifice. So for the remembrance of the trust of Prophet Ibrahim, all Muslims sacrifice a jam on this day and there will be three parts of this meat of jam, one for needy and poor people, second for neighbors and relatives, and third for their own family.
